Williams and Follows Team enjoys helping out our community and supporting it however we can! These are some of the local charities we love to support!!!

WEE/MAX Children’s Charities – the philanthropic undertaking of us and the RE/MAX Jazz family of REALTORS. This exclusive, ground-breaking program partners with local charitable and non-profit organizations to provide much-needed funds, equipment and support that otherwise would not be provided for here in our community.

WEE/MAX is all about local giving – seeing our donation dollars put to good use for our clients, neighbours, family and friends. We personally have committed us and our resources to support the Pediatric Wing at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, where we were able to help provide the neonatal ward with brand new life-saving equipment, like new Infant Resuscitation Units and Cardio-Respiratory Monitors. Over the past few years, we raised $150,000 to fund and furnish a brand new Paediatric Department wing at Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre in Oshawa. We have where children dealing with cancer can get the help and support they need. Our goal is to provide that to our community. WEE/MAX has now partnered with Their Opportunity, to help support thousands of Durham Region Children access sports and recreation.

Their Opportunity is a grassroots charity in Durham that exists to provide low-income families (total household income of $45,000 or less) with the means to enroll their children in organized sports and recreation programs. Additionally, within 3 months of receiving funding, each child is mandated to “pay-it-forward” through their Giveback Program. Their program inspires hope while teaching essential life skills of teamwork and compassion; proving that only one change in a child’s life can create an opportunity for inspiration and change, while further impacting the community. WEE/MAX has teamed up with Their Opportunity, and has committed to donating $150,000 over the next 3-5 years, supporting thousands of Durham Region children access sports and recreation and develop critical life skills! A portion of every sale done with our team, we donate a portion to this initiative!

Established in 1997, as a drop-in centre, in the comfort of a home-like atmosphere, Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre is committed to providing community support for people diagnosed with cancer and their families through individual and group support, information, a resource centre, wellness programs and an ongoing lecture and discussion series. Hearth Place is a support centre where cancer patients and their families can come and share their experiences, find resources and discover new ways to care for themselves and each other. Through WEE/MAX our team and the rest of RE/MAX Jazz were able to donate a total of $150,000 to build a brand new paediatric department for Hearth Place!

Williams and Follows is a proud supporter of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundations through RE/MAX Canada! With every purchase and sale of a home with the Williams and Follows Team, we make a direct donation. The funds raised go toward primary prevention research, which aims to stop breast cancer before it starts. Primary prevention research carries some of the greatest potentials for exciting new discoveries and widespread impact. Thank you for making this possible by choosing Williams and Follows. Since becoming a Children’s Miracle Network partner in 1992, RE/MAX Canada has donated over $70 million helping more than 5,000 children who attend CMN hospitals every day.

By signing up for the Miracle Home Program, Williams and Follows contributes a portion of every purchase and sale to Children’s Miracle Network member hospitals – a truly worthy cause. Each donation helps fund paediatric medical equipment and treatments, as well as other healthcare services. Thank you to our past and current clients for helping us make a difference!

Their aim has been to provide products that are warm, accessible, adaptable to medical devices, fashionable and comfortable while allowing the wearer to maintain a measure of self-esteem. Koolway Sports have applied their experience in technology and design to create unique, thoughtful products that are fashionable, functional, easy to put on, and eliminate weather as a barrier to life’s experiences.

Why Is There A Need?

Individuals confined to wheelchairs are challenged in finding weather-appropriate clothing to address their special needs. The choices are typically stylistically outdated and of inferior quality, or don’t adapt to the equipment or devices a wearer may require. Koolway Sports custom wear addresses this need by providing fashionable, comfortable, medically adaptable and weather-appropriate outerwear that allows customers and caregivers to experience more outside! Funding assistance is not always available to families for these items! So Williams and Follows has donated custom coats to help.
